the j pipe fit and sound is nice. i was very disappointed that new hardware(studs and nuts for manifold connection and bolts washers and nuts for rear flange connection) was not included. it was also disappointing that it wasn’t said that the rear flange connection did not utilize the threaded studs as the factory jpipe utilized. PLM needs to make buyers aware that they will need 3-10mx2” bolts nuts and 6 washers to complete the install. it was very frustrating to have to stop and spend 30 min round trip to hardware store to get the necessary hardware to complete the installation. because of this i will not recommend this product to anyone. i will recommend your competitor rev6 instead. they supply all necessary hardware.
My local muffler shop installed this product without issues to the OEM cats. They even included spacers for the lower frame brace, however it wasn't necessary to use as there was enough clearance below the pipe. There is a small amount of rasp above 3000 rpm however that was easily removed by adding a vibrant ultra quiet resonator.
My exhaust setup is the following: 3rd cat delete > Vibrant ultra quiet resonator > single exit exhaust pipe > Audi S4 OEM resonator > muffler delete. The overall sound produces a nice deep throaty growl, it does drone a little bit so I might add another Vibrant resonator if space allows.
